If you’re noticing sagging skin, wrinkles, and volume loss, you may be considering your facial rejuvenation options. But should you opt for a non surgical facelift approach (aka a “liquid facelift“) or a traditional facelift? Each option has unique benefits, depending on your aesthetic goals, availability for downtime, and how long you want your youthful results to last.

Read on and take our quick quiz below to determine which treatment may be right for you!

Liquid Facelift vs Surgical Facelift: What’s the Difference?

A liquid facelift is a nonsurgical treatment that restores lost volume and smooths wrinkles using a combination of injectables:

  • BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® are neuromodulators that relax dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet and frown lines.
  • Hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM® plump the cheeks, lips, under eyes, and other areas that lack volume. When artfully combined, these injectables help you look naturally refreshed with minimal downtime.

Alternatively, a surgical facelift tightens sagging skin, removes excess tissue, and repositions underlying structures for dramatic, long-lasting rejuvenation. While a traditional facelift is more invasive, it’s usually the best option if you have pronounced wrinkles, creases, and sagging.
